About
Athlete Salary shows who earns what in sport: athlete salaries, prize money and team budgets, with a source for every figure and a label on every estimate.
Sports
- Basketball: a page for every EuroLeague player of 2025-26 and 2026-27 and for players with a reported salary in France and Israel; every EuroLeague club and 165 clubs in other leagues with a published budget or payroll; league pages with budgets and the money rules (minimum salaries, foreign-player limits, Financial Fair Play).
- Cycling: salaries, contracts and agents of pro cyclists are on our sister site, How to Turn Pro.
New sports are added when there is enough sourced data to be useful, not before.
How the figures are made
Reported salaries come from named outlets and link back to them. Prize money, where a sport is paid that way, comes from the official results of the organiser or federation. Everything else is an estimate, labelled and shown with a range. The methodology and the accuracy tests for each sport are public.
Rules we keep
- Reported and official figures always come before any model.
- Every estimate says "Estimate" and has a range.
- Salaries are net per season unless marked; converted gross figures say so. Prize money is shown as paid out (gross).
- No money figures for athletes under 18.
- No paywalled content, no copied lists, no figures from AI answers.
- We do not scrape other sites; data arrives as reviewed updates.
Corrections
Athletes, agents, teams and journalists: if a figure is wrong, tell us with a link or a document, or write to [email protected]. We check it, change the page and note it in the changelog.
